ST. INIGOES, MD. – Maryland State Police report that on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2:39 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler responded to the 15000 block of Point Lookout Road for the report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that Daniel B. Evans, 27, of St. Inigoes, had struck a 5 year old male victim in the face and then grabbed him by the neck to strangle him. Evans then struck a 27 year old female victim who attempted to intervene.

In addition to cross border crime issues, the role of policing this open border falls to the US Border Patrol and the 14 Deputies of the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office.
Undocumented shoppers – The Dover Police Department responded to 21 shoplifting calls between Noon on October 16th and Noon on October 23rd. Five of those calls were unfounded, bringing the total number of shoplifting cases to 16 for the week. Of those 16 shoplifting complaints, a merchant declined prosecution in one, four are still under investigation, and arrests were made or warrants obtained in 11 cases. A total of 13 adults were arrested in those eleven cases which were cleared by arrests.
The husband, wife, and two children weren’t inside. The husband was too upset to talk on camera but tells ABC7 that he was brewing coffee before going to work and doesn’t know if that may have started the fire. The cause is under investigation.

On October 27, 2014, at about 11:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the 1000 block of Chillum Road for a shooting. When they arrived they found Johnson just outside his apartment, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.
The operator of the Chrysler attempted to take evasive maneuvers and entered the eastbound lane of MD Rt. 234 in an attempt to avoid the Chevrolet truck. The operator of the Chevrolet truck woke up and swerved back into the eastbound lane. The Chevrolet truck collided into the passenger side of the Chrysler. After the collision, the Chevrolet truck entered a ditch/culvert and overturned. The Chrysler also left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch on the eastbound side of MD Rt. 234.
The front passenger of the Chrysler was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to her injuries on the scene.

On October 27, 2014, at about 5:20 am, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Route 210 and Berry Road for the report of a pedestrian collision. When they arrived, they found Amaya-Brown in the roadway with critical injuries. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
